1. Acceptance and eligibility

By accessing or using StylersIn, you agree to these Terms. If you use the service on behalf of a business or another person, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for them.

You must be legally able to enter into an agreement where you live. If you use the service for a minor, you are responsible for supervising that use and providing any consent required by law.

2. The StylersIn service

StylersIn is a platform that helps customers discover, communicate with and book independent barbers, hair stylists, nail technicians and shops. It also gives stylers and shop owners tools to showcase services, manage bookings and connect with customers.

Unless we expressly state otherwise, stylers and shops are independent service providers, not employees or agents of StylersIn. They are responsible for the services they offer, their availability, their pricing, their work, and compliance with laws that apply to them.

3. Accounts and verification

You are responsible for providing accurate information, keeping your account credentials confidential and promptly updating changes to your account. Do not share your account or use another person’s account without permission.

We may request information to verify an account, styler or shop. A verification indicator means that we have completed the checks we choose to carry out at that time; it is not a guarantee of future conduct, quality or suitability for every customer.

4. Bookings, prices and payments

Customers and stylers should use the app to agree on the requested service, appointment time, location and price before confirming a booking. Availability, price, cancellation terms and any additional charges shown or agreed during booking form part of that booking.

Where payment is available through StylersIn, it may be processed by a third-party payment provider. You agree to provide accurate payment details and authorise the payment for a confirmed booking. Payment providers may have their own terms and privacy notices.

Any question about a service, cancellation, no-show or refund should first be raised through the support channel as soon as possible. We may help facilitate communication, but we do not guarantee a particular outcome unless required by law.

5. Additional rules for stylers and shops

If you list services on StylersIn, you must keep your profile, qualifications, availability, prices and portfolio accurate. You are responsible for delivering services safely, lawfully and professionally, obtaining any required licences or approvals, and honouring confirmed bookings.

You must not misrepresent your identity, services, prices, credentials, location, ratings or availability. We may suspend or remove listings that are inaccurate, unsafe, unlawful or inconsistent with these Terms.

6. Content and acceptable use

You retain ownership of content you submit, such as profile details, photos, portfolio images, ratings and reviews. By posting it, you give StylersIn a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, display and use it only as needed to operate, promote and improve the service.

You must not use StylersIn to break the law, harm or harass others, post misleading or infringing content, collect another user’s data without permission, interfere with the service, send spam, or attempt to bypass security controls.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

We work to keep StylersIn useful, secure and available, but the service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every listed provider, service, review or result will meet your expectations.

StylersIn does not perform styling services and is not responsible for the acts, omissions, quality, safety or legality of independent stylers, shops or customers. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Suspension and termination

You may stop using StylersIn at any time. We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached, the service is being misused, or doing so is necessary to protect users, the platform or our legal obligations.

9. Changes and governing law

We may update these Terms when the service, our operations or the law changes. We will post the revised Terms here and update the date above. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms, where permitted by law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute will be handled by a court of competent jurisdiction in Nigeria, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
